Navy frigate Helge Ingstad of Norway that faced the morning with a Greek oil tanker TS Sola, is on the verge of flooding through the hole.
According to the representative of the Norwegian rescue service, the hole resulting from the collision, supplied more water than could be pumped out, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“We have virtually no control over water supply”, – noted in rescue service of Norway.
After the collision the captain of the frigate landed the ship stranded on the shore. However, it did not save the ship from incoming water. As a result, the frigate lay to starboard, a large part of its body is under water. In addition, the frigate has been a major leak from a cracked tank of helicopter fuel.
The entire crew of the frigate in the 127 people have been evacuated. As a result of the incident injured seven sailors. The tanker no serious damage, none of the 23 members of its crew was not injured.
