Outrage Over Israels Attack on Gaza Aid Seekers

France has called for an independent inquiry into the tragic killing of over 100 Palestinians who were seeking food aid in northern Gaza, sparking global outrage against Israel. The incident, which led to the deaths of 115 people and left over 750 wounded, has drawn condemnation from leaders around the world.

French President Emmanuel Macron was among the first to speak out, condemning the shootings of aid seekers by Israeli soldiers. The United States also expressed concern over the incident, stating that it would complicate efforts to broker a truce between Israel and Hamas. However, the United Nations Security Council failed to issue a statement condemning the killings due to objections from the US.

Countries like China, South Africa, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, and Lebanon have all condemned the killings and called for action to halt the violence and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches Gaza. The European Union and Germany have also joined in calls for an investigation into the incident, demanding transparency from Israel.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro took a strong stance by suspending weapons purchases from Israel and labeling the killings as genocide. Brazil criticized Israel’s military operation for lacking ethical and legal limits.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported a high death toll in the ongoing war, with UN agencies warning of a risk of famine if aid is not delivered promptly. The international community continues to call for an end to the violence and for humanitarian aid to reach those in need in Gaza.
