The statement was made by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silvera, after a meeting between the two in Brasilia.

- Benzene A: Reduction of R$ 0.40 per liter (-12.6%);
- diesel a: decrease of R$ 0.44 per liter (-12.8%);
- cooking gas (LPG): R$8.97 per 13kg drum reduction (-21.3%).
With this reduction, according to Petrobras, The price of a gas cylinder to the end consumer may fall below R$100. However, the resale value is not directly controlled by the government.
The designations “gasoline A” and “diesel A” refer to pure fuels – prior to mixing with alcohol and biodiesel, respectively.
“It should be noted that the amount actually charged to the end consumer at the service station is also affected by other factors such as taxes, biofuel mixes and profit margins from distribution and resale,” Petrobras says in the announcement.
“Abrasileirar prices mean taking into account our advantages, however, without taking Brazil out of the international context,” says Petrobras President
Early in the morning, the state-owned company announced a new fuel price policy in the domestic market.
With this, the import price parity (PPI) equation is canceled out, based on fluctuations in the dollar and the international oil market, which also account for logistical costs with transportation and port fees, for example.
“This new policy, in addition to serving an appropriate trade policy, which is internal competition and making prices more attractive to the consumer, will reduce its impact on inflation. It will help Brazil raise awareness of, for example, the Central Bank so that we can lower our interest rate,” he said. Alexander Silvera.
“Petrobras will get rid of many chains that put them, many times, even in a bad position. Because the volatility was compulsorily met, many times, in a way that harms the consumer and the company itself. The government wins, but they win mainly against Brazilian men and women.”
Mines and Energy Minister says cooking gas price will fall ‘by more than 21%’
Pratiss says prices will follow the international “reference”.
Subsequently, Petrobras President Jean-Paul Pratis stated that the new price policy of the state-owned company would not deviate from the “international price reference”.
According to him, the global oil price will be considered, but with another model. Pratiss says the previous formula was an “abstract idea”.
“We are informing the market of an adjustment in the commercial strategy of price formation and in the terms of sale. This model further integrates competitive advantages, without an absolute departure from the international reference of prices,” he said.
“When I say signal, it is not import parity. Therefore, when the market abroad is hot, with extraordinary and higher prices, it will be reflected in Brazil. Because converting the price into a Brazilian means taking into account the advantages, without excluding the advantages enjoyed by our compatriots,” He said.
“Import parity was an abstraction. Get the price abroad and put it here as if it was only produced abroad at the door of the refinery here.”
