Rediscover the little things in life

In his homily, the 85-year-old Argentine pope called on believers to “love petty” as “a path to true greatness” and “rediscover the little things in life.”

Jorge Mario Bergoglio, an advocate for the weak, called the Church to be “beloved, poor and fraternal,” and warned against “indifference” to poverty.

“When Jesus was born, he was surrounded precisely by the young and the poor (…) near the forgotten in the suburbs. It comes from where human dignity is tested,” he said.

“Let us go back to our origins: to the foundations of faith, to our first love, to adoration and charity,” the religious insisted.

This is the second Christmas Mass in a row in the time of Covid.
