Shiv Telegram Media: New Zealand to seize LATAM Boeings black boxes as image reveals damage to plane after strong movement

The Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC) in New Zealand has launched an investigation into a LATAM Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner after a terrifying incident during a flight from Sydney to Auckland. Passengers on board the plane were reportedly “bounced” off the ceiling during a sudden drop, resulting in injuries to at least 50 individuals.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene as passengers were thrown out of their seats and collided with the roof of the aircraft. Images shared by a passenger showed damage to the plane’s ceiling and injured individuals with bruises and blood. Approximately 50 people received treatment for mostly minor injuries at the scene, while 13 were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

The TAIC is taking steps to gather evidence in the investigation, including seizing the black boxes of the aircraft, which contain the cockpit voice recorder and flight data. LATAM Airlines has expressed remorse for the inconvenience and harm caused to passengers, affirming their commitment to safety. The airline is cooperating with authorities to support the investigation, although it remains unclear whether the black boxes have been handed over to the TAIC.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of air travel safety and the need for thorough investigations to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.
