The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a recall for Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings on March 2, citing possible contamination with hard plastic. Over 61,839 pounds of dumplings, which were produced on December 7, 2023, have been affected by the recall.
Consumers are advised to check their dumpling boxes for the lot codes “03.07.25.C1-1” and “03.07.25.C1-2” printed on the side. If found, they are urged not to consume the product and either throw it away or return it to the store.
Fortunately, no adverse reactions or injuries have been reported in relation to the contaminated dumplings. However, the FSIS and Trader Joe’s are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of consumers.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the recall, you can contact CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corporation’s Consumer Experience Department at 800-544-6855 or Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817.
