The VW Polo completes 20 years of production in Brazil in 2022 and is available in four versions with two engine options.

Featured Technology

The new Polo arrives packed full of tech with an extensive list of equipment and exclusive items available.

The 2023 VW Polo comes with a fully digital 8-inch and 10.25-inch instrument cluster, as well as the provision of Climatronic Touch air conditioning, which allows the user to select the most pleasant temperature for the vehicle’s occupants.

One of the novelties of the new Polo is the portable induction charging and the multifunction steering wheel, which comes with the new Volkswagen logo in the center and fins for changing gears.

For rear seat passengers, Volkswagen has included two USB ports, Type C, to provide more comfort for all passengers.

In addition, the car features the “VW Play” multimedia center, which offers new user experiences and the “My VW” app. This software reports vehicle data such as mileage, fuel level, average consumption and travel information.

When it comes to safety, Volkswagen is not far behind. In the new Polo, the German automaker has a wide range of items.

The compact car has four airbags – two front and two side. The side pockets protect the head and chest and restrict body movement during impact.

Additionally, the safety package includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), traction control, hill control, automatic post-collision braking, isofix and now the unparalleled LED headlights.

More attractive appearance

The Polo 2023 comes with horizontal stripes, rounded surfaces and new interior finishes.

At the front, the car comes with new European Golf-inspired bumpers and headlights, as well as chrome elements that make the connection between the lights.

The available optical device is fully regenerated. Consisting of high beam, low beam, daylight, location light and directional light, the kit all come in LED.

At the rear of the car, headlights arrive with a new nighttime signature, as well as the centrally placed logo and name of the car, similar to the brand’s other models.

Another great novelty of the Polo 2023 line is the Black Kit, which offers several elements to make the design more attractive.

Among them are alloy wheels, rear spoiler, rearview mirror cover, rubber floor mat and trunk lid, all in gloss black.

Regarding the interior of the car, we can highlight the front door panels and the armrest covered with fabric.

In addition, the new Polo comes with unprecedented sport seats, spacious interior in Sunset Red, Crystal White, Ninja Black in solid colors, Platinum Gray and Sirius Silver in metallic colors.

The engine, performance and consumption of the Volkswagen Polo 2023

Regarding the engine, the new Polo comes with two options. The entry-level version comes with a 1.0 MPI engine, while the above models are equipped with a 1.0 TSI engine.

The two more expensive models, the Comfortline and the Highline, come with a TSI engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Cheaper versions are equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox.

The 1.0 MPI engine produces 84 hp with ethanol and 77 hp with gasoline, as well as a maximum torque of 10.3 and 9.6 kgf with ethanol and gasoline, respectively.

This engine has a maximum speed of 173 km / h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 13.5 seconds.

Average fuel consumption is 9.5 km/l (E) and 13.8 km/l (c) in the city, 10.9 km/l (east) and 15.6 km/l (c) in the city road.

The 1.0 TSI engine delivers 116 hp (E) and 109 hp (G), 16.8 kg/m torque, a top speed of 192 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.

In terms of fuel consumption, the TSI engine makes the following figures: 8.4 km / l with ethanol and 12.2 km / l with city gasoline; 10.3 km/l with ethanol and 15.1 km/l with gasoline on the road.
