The murdered teacher was an activist and advocate for science

Elizabeth Tenrero, a 71-year-old science teacher who died on Monday (27/3) in an attack on a public school in São Paulo, was an advocate for science and feminist causes, as well as being passionate about her daughters and grandchildren. The teacher was saved, but he could not resist the injuries. The perpetrator was arrested by the Civil Police.

Before working at the Thomazia Montoro School, where the attack took place, she was a teacher at the Emiliano Augusto Cavalcanti de Albuquerque e Melo State School, in Alto de Pinheiros, also in the Western Region, where she worked until December 2022.

A 13-year-old teenager stabbed at least four teachers and two students on Monday morning (27/3). The attack took place inside the Thomázia Montoro State School in Vila Sonia, west of São Paulo. The perpetrator of the attack was arrested and the other victims are still receiving treatment in hospitals in the area.
