2 min readWith a Christian Tolstoy hat-trick, the United States beat Panama 5-1 on Sunday as Qatar took a giant step towards the 2022 World Cup, while the Central American team was eliminated from the fight for a place.
With this win in Orlando (Florida), the United States is second in the Congo qualifiers with 25 points and one round, while Panama is fifth with 18 points and has no chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

“Our goal is always categorization. We took a big step, but at the end of the day, we have a game ahead of us,” Tyler Adams warned.
“We went in very seriously and took some early chances, which set the tone for the game,” said defender Walker Zimmerman.
