“We were going to get our visa in March, but we got an email from the embassy that it had been rescheduled for July. July came, and it was rescheduled for February 2022,” Cecilia said.

“We paid for the entire trip, the ticket and the accommodation. We contacted the travel agency and postponed it to September next year. But we don’t know if the visa will be reconsidered. We don’t know about that,” it says.

Designer Gabriela Menes also had to shift her vacation to Disney and New York. But, unlike Cecília, the embassy itself changed her visa, and Gabriela often had to log on to the embassy’s website to update her visa. But it was not very successful.
