Unioeste joins the Welcome Program for Ukrainian Scientists and welcomes the researcher
2 min readUnioeste University, Foz do Iguaçu, welcomes on Monday (15) from 8 am, Ukrainian researcher Yulia Vilinchak who will work in the Graduate Program in Society, Culture and Frontiers, for two years.
The visit of the researcher, who worked in Ukraine, at the Lviv State University of Physical Culture, was made possible thanks to the Welcome Program for Ukrainian Scientists of the Araucaria Foundation, to which Unioeste joined.
Researcher Yulia Vilinchak, who lived in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine and through the website of the country’s Ministry of Education and Science, got acquainted with the program developed by the institution.
“For me, this is a wonderful experience and an opportunity for professional development, as well as an opportunity to learn another foreign language. The program provides an opportunity to continue my scientific research. After all, Brazil, like Ukraine, has important and unique tourism resources, the rational use of which contributes to successful development for the tourism industry.
He holds a doctorate in economics, expert of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Ukraine, the researcher has authored more than 80 scientific and educational works.

The graduate programme, Stricto Sensu, in Society, Culture and Frontiers, at the master’s and doctoral level, began in 2010 and aims to qualify professionals who, during the training process, develop skills to coordinate cross-border studies and research, from the perspective to transcend geopolitical boundaries.
How it works
Through the Ukrainian Scholars Welcome Program, scholars can receive two types of scholarships, according to the length of professional experience.
The Special Visiting Scholar 1 (PVE1) Scholarship is for scholars who have more than five years of experience as a university professor and a relevant academic productivity degree. On the other hand, PVE2 targets researchers with less than five years of experience, and has the same duration.
In addition, participating educational institutions are obligated to provide a coordinator for the work of scholars, as well as to offer all support and welcome to researchers.
