Borderlands 4 finally adds portrait mode with todays major update

Unbound 4 got a new update today, which features a long-range photographer than the gameplay the game boasted at the beginning, but is said to have been polished.

Borderlands 4 is getting a big update today, including the long-awaited photo mode, which was announced before the game's launch but has reportedly been held because other elements need to prioritize polishing.

The new item is promoted by Borderland's Borders 4, no photo mode mode is included.Also army rate hunter hunter drop drop.

As for a photo mode promised for Borderlands 4 as early as June 2025, creative director Graeme Timmins took to social media to say that while it was planned, the team is prioritizing polishing other core elements so the photo mode won't be present at launch.

I made us prioritize polishing some other elements more fundamental to the moment-to-moment experience.We always planned for it, and if we put it in, we should have spent a little more time on things that would directly affect the quality of life while playing.

Progress and rewards

-Patrol: Troop order: Now advances when you kill enemies

- Trace: Scrap Core: Scrap Core objects can be continuously contacted and contracts from Dominion can now be terminated.

- Made the rewards for Intrusive Thoughts Vile Ripper, Deep State Phalanx and Breaux Chambeaux Phalanx appear when the player collects their contracts

Vault Card Challenges:

- The Vault Card Weekly Challenge "Loot or Buy 10/15 Legendaries" will no longer reset on save/load

- Loot or Purchase Ordnance will now increase when conditions are met

- "Surgen enemies with Torgue weapons and trends" will now progress when using Torgue legendary Grenade Fireepot.

- “Kill X enemies with Wan guns and equipment” and the Wan challenge “Last Wan Standing” will now progress as planned

- Abandoned Ancient Chaos and Great Night challenges have been removed from the All Phosphene Challenge collection.

- Updated Malivan's status effects to better identify what triggered the status effects, leading to better challenge tracking.

Keep rewarding

- Fixed a reported issue that caused movement into the Dominion to become locked by players exiting the transition area in multiplayer.

- Mission "Potty Mouth": Objectives are no longer locked when entering the main menu

- Fixed an issue that caused unlocked DLC content to be unavailable offline

- True Mode can be consistently enabled for UVHM characters spawned at level 30

- Added True Mode guide when the campaign ends

- Players creating a new character in multiplayer will now receive all intended rewards

- Fixed a reported issue where all devices in multiplayer would disappear during the countdown when exiting the main menu and switching to solo

- Fixed issues with the "Gourd Your Loins" cosmetic reward with the SHiFT code

- If you were affected by this issue for the first time or forgot these Pumpkin Heads during the Horrors of Kairos event, this SHiFT code will redeem your missing cosmetics!This code will not reward anything to those who successfully obtained the cosmetic rewards for the first time.

- Fixed reported issues where critical damage was sometimes not applied to critical hits

- Daredevil: Action skill cooldown rate adjusted to 0.5% and action skill damage multiplier bonus added.

- Runner: Melee damage bonus is now multiplicative instead of additive

Harlowe Rework the Gravitar Skill

Developer Note: We're making some changes to Zero-Point as another step to make this skill tree more satisfying and balanced compared to Harlowe's other trees.Since we're changing the base Zero-Point behavior to include the old Increased Inertia behavior in the base skill, we want to see how these changes balance out before we do more work on the rest of the tree.

We've got our eye on a few more potential candidates, but between the buffs we've implemented over the past few weeks, we'll be taking a look at the future in addition to today's update if we get enough feedback on the changes we've made.

In the long run, we want to make sure that each Vault Hunter has a lot of build variety, with each ability having its pros and cons.If we see someone falling behind, we'll continue to investigate changes like we did today.

-Zero-Points (Base Skill): Now includes the previous "inertia" to increase profit.Killing an enemy in stasis now resets the duration, searches for a new target, and slows down the duration.

- Inertia Boost (Changed): Updated to increase Harlowe's hit damage.Whenever he hits an enemy, he creates mini pocket projectiles of unstable energy that deal random cryogenic or radiation damage.In addition, he also gets an increase to status effect damage and status effect chance.This effect stacks.

Amon il-Forgeknight

- Amon now always deals bonus cryo damage when equipped with the Cryonic Thrum Augmentation in multiplayer.

- Prevented an unexpected increase in the number of units in the Vault Hunter bar when Amon activated his skill.

- Dragon's Breath now correctly applies to Ripper's beam weapons as well

- Firewall Forgeskill and narrow Moon-Made Callis missile attack

Tease Siren

- Added healing for Prismatic Echoes to sometimes reset when using status effects.

- Phase Pocket Passive no longer restores magazine under Taser when using Vladof's enhancement.

- Healing numbers are now displayed correctly when Specters Ripper uses the Legendary Sniper Rifle Tankbuster

- Fixed the behavior of the incarnate action skill so that it still works when using the Vibe Check Capstone with the Legendary Class Mod Technomancer

Boss fight in Bloomer:

- Falling into fog now continuously kills players instead of falling off the map

- Purple Rift now only appears after defeating a boss

- Fixed instance of Bloomreaper maintaining Invincible's health bar during second phase

- Fixed a bug where you could get UVHM Time Trial rewards while not in UVHM.

- Fixed an issue that would cause the platinum reward box to empty after completing requirements

- Heavy weapon fire now damages Bloomreaper crystals

- Vile Creeps should no longer be trapped in the air

World events and leaders.

- Increased the number of world bosses in the Punitive Manufactorium area

- Rewards now reliably appear when completing the Airship or The Goredello global events

- Minister's nose can no longer be frozen

- Toy pin heads are now affected by uniqueness grenades

- Idolator Soul now takes damage from elemental hazards created by skills when biological armor is broken

- Vile Lictor's limbs still regenerate after being frozen

- Jennifer will now stay inside the refugee even if the player dies near the area

- Reduced the number of Badass enemies spawned in a location via Electi Safe Collectable

- Made sure boss fights keep resetting when all players are dead

- Restored the ability to interact with fortresses if the trip was canceled, leaving the transition zone in multiplayer

Prey and station:

- UVH levels now increase the level of dedicated loot drops.The higher the level, the more chance to drop dedicated loot!

- Changed the spawn station outside the Umbral Foundry to a quick station to make it easier to get to the entrance

- Prevented loot items from unexpectedly dropping into an area after defeating the Oppressor or killing all enemies in the Ripper Drill Site Saw's Clench

- The red chest in Coastal Bonescape only opens when all enemies are killed

Mission, enemy and echo location updates:

- Guns Blazing: Arjay is now constantly engaged in fighting with enemies.

- The Power Ballad of Rodd Vomit: Fix enemy's path to reach the player

- Missions no longer expand unexpectedly in multiplayer when switching from split screen to solo play.

- Radioactive Railroad Liner will now attack if players are near it

- Improved ECHO location guidance

- Removed the Rift Champion icon from the Compass, and cleaned up actions for those icons on the Map

Weapons and gear

- Adjusted the Underdog modifier to only apply to Vladof's barrel weapons as intended.This throws an unexpected damage bonus that happened when some guns changed their ammo or item types.We've also updated Wombo Combo Missiles so they now properly count as barrel damage and gain this boost.

- Rifle Chuck's boring legendary attack now fires correctly when the player has a gun reload speed greater than 120%

- Fixed a behavior that prevented homing on the third gun by reloading Teddy when certain conditions were met.

- Removed additional weapons from Tediore shotguns with Ripper magazine

- Maliwan Legendary SMG Ohm I Got will no longer consume Shield power when Overshield is active

- Only the active elemental status effect will disappear when Malivan spawns and kills an enemy with Malivan license with Transfuser Core.

- Singularities now spawn correctly on Maliwan Sniper Rifles with Singularity Grenade Launcher underbarrels

- Jakobs said Richet pinned the damage on Jakobs' Japanese weapons offense

- Torg Legendary Pistol Hardpoint Tediore "shooting" shoots as intended with licensed component

- Ngalengkepan Torgue Legendary Shield triggers Segment Break shield armor augmentations.

- Order Legendary Sniper Rifle Roker needle projectiles that constantly fire enemies and Kalos to increase distance.It will no longer produce unexpected underbarrel projectiles with licensed Jacobs parts and Jacobs accessories with Lapper and Bounce Pass.

- Ripper Legendary Shield Watts 4 now consistently gives overshield in multiplayer from Overshield drops.

- Weapons continued with covspieces covs when using bullets in spare lease 3 firmware with the increase.

- Daedalus SMGs with Overcharge attachments and Ripper magazines will now inherit Ripper's charge time.

- The Atlas Sure Shot perk no longer activates with the Rafa Peacebreaker Cannons action skill while equipping weapons with licensed Atlas and Sure Shot upgrades.

- Updated Tracker Antenna and Trauma Bond to no longer apply correctly to gear without Atlas licensed parts

Heavy weapons now deal damage to BoomBoom Drones during battle with boss Callis

- Skill Craft now gains the appropriate amount of stack when dealing skill damage to enemies.

- Deadeye 2-PieCe now works as a target on projectiles

- A level 3 trigger now works with the Atlas Tracker Grenade

- Get Throwin' now increases the damage of powerful weapons

Guns and Gear Visual, Audio and Animation Updates:

- Revamped prefixes to Tediore Legendary Grenade UAV

- Order the Hyperion Shield Upgraded Legenda Pistol Bully now displayed with all parts on the product card

- Rapkit will no longer disappear when trying to heal after climbing

- Fixed animations with Atlas Barrel attachments during transition for SMG Daedalus

- Fixed Sound op Daedalus Legendary Missilaser Shotgun

- Malivan Legendary Shutgun Mantra Now Show the Amara Face Post when fired

- Adjusted effects on Maliwan Legendary SMG Ohm I Got and Daedalus Legendary Shotgun Missilaser to be consistent during gameplay

- Adjusted animation on Tediore Shotguns to prevent projectiles from appearing when using secondary fire

- Tediore weapons no longer explode when placed on water.

Tediore pistol and pistol have a laser beam attached to the device.

- Legendary whiskey foxtrot effects on Vladof's assault rifle now expire as intended.

- Changed reload animation for Ripper shotguns with CoV magazines

- Custom Ripper effects when firing Ripper guns with Maliwan licensed barrel parts

- Reaper Grand Transmitter effects have been restored after they disappeared.

- No needle effect when using the legendary sniper order

Audio & Visuals

- Vault Hunter audio is now back to normal after making KittyCopter head customization unnecessary.

- Markus is now talking about the right time

- The second round of Goredello will now announce the enemy type

- Updated various sound effects to play when fighting the Bloomreaper

- Updates to various incorrect or missing VO queues

- Damage points have been removed from continuing to shoot Arya at the end of the battle

- Fixed ECHO-4 visibility when using ECHO-IVIV frame and fixed Nurple paint

- Made sure Siren Vex's tattoos glow as they should in all skins

Conflict animation for Rafa Exo-miles now plays right on players

- Characters can now climb after double jumping into the Abandoned Post Shelter in Coastal Bonescape.

- Fixed climbing animation not syncing in multiplayer

- Using a propagandist capture point in The Howl will now take the player to the roof of a building

- Changed images of Idolator Sol when buying Boss replays in multiplayer

- Reduced brightness of the laser beam.

The Ripsaw Swirl sword effect now disappears upon death

- General Screw's triangle effect will now disappear upon death

- Fixed Bruce's head continuing to disappear from multiplayer during the Angry Mob mission

- Fixed reports of NPCs appearing at the wrong time or place

- Adjusted effects on power cores during the "Powerdrop" mission.

- Moved objects no longer attach to the weapon after firing and reloading quickly

- Adjusted input fade distance

- Typing Vault Hunter addresses and notes in the main menu

- Reduce the number of unused materials during the game

- Stopped Shield Boosters from blocking the screen

- Trees inside buildings will no longer be blown away by wind.

- The movement that was missing when destroying the grate near the Vault Fragment in Tonnage Peel has been restored.

- Unwanted transition effects no longer appear on players outside of the Ville Lichter Pass arena

- The fire will no longer jump when you get closer to Dominion

- Prevent flashing after opening electronic security

- Haybales in The Howl no longer show glass VFX when hit

- Houses now appear properly when Breeding Daisy

- The lights on the Candlelight Disaster skin now blink consistently

- Make sure launch pads in Cuspid Climb are consistent with other launch pad areas

- The Black Market Vending Machine will no longer obstruct the view if it appears in the Tonnage Peel.

- Dropped some floating objects

- Solved several open theft cases

- Improve various movies for stability

- Fix clipping, lost collision, out-of-bounds access, stuck spots, and visual glitches in various parts of the game

UI, Text, Localization

- Customization Customization now fails to show first open customization

- Fixed an issue that caused Baka to appear empty after filtering

- Repkits now appear in Inventory

- Fixed an issue that caused Vault cards to not upgrade or evolve in multiplayer.

- Fixed a reported issue that could reset Vault card progress or disappear after disconnection

- Vault cards will no longer transfer progress if the same prompt reappears after a daily reset

- Vault tab UI update

- Various UI updates

- Fixed various reported issues with the scroll bar, sorting and menu UI

- Improved field, different text captions, subtitle timing, icon display, placement throughout the game.

- Material thumbnails in the customization menu now appear correctly

- Updated credits

- Restore "Flip Card" functionality after level transition

- Fixed an issue with scrolling through the Vault Cards menu between split screens.

- Fixed a case of a persistent “Connecting” message when a secondary player entered split-screen

- The golden chest will no longer stick with the "Transaction in progress" message when a second player leaves after unlocking

- Both players in split screen will now see all tasks in the "Breeding Daisies" mission.

- Fixed an issue where Recent Friends would not work as intended when adding players to split screen during gameplay.

- Updated the Vault Card UI to avoid overlapping or not displaying the card of all items

- The car's viewing angle will now change for both players.

- Adjust nameplate text size to scale correctly on split screen

- Updated various UI elements for proper placement and to avoid overlapping

- [Console Only] Several instances of incorrect gear mesh have been fixed on consoles

- [PC only] Adjusted default mouse sensitivity and added a settings option to disable mouse smoothing
