Last month, a 'actors actors' video of Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio went viral, in which Jennifer was seen jokingly grilling Leo about his reputation for dating much younger women.
As I'm sure you know, the 51-year-old star went on a streak of never dating a woman for more than 25 years, and people saw his string of one-year breakups shortly after his girlfriend's 25th birthday.
It is worth noting that his current girlfriend, Italian model Vittoria Seretti, was the first to break the pattern.The two actually started their relationship when he was already 25 years old in 2023 and they are still together.(In case you were wondering, Vittoria is now at the ripe old age of…27.)
During an interview with Actors on Actors, Jennifer Leo made reference to playing the father of a teenage girl for the first time in his latest film, The Battle of Each Other.Leo's daughter is played by 25-year-old Chase Infiniti in real life.
Reflecting on their dynamic, Jen told Leo, "I loved seeing you as a dad...I'm so sad you don't have a teenage daughter."When Leo nervously smacked his lips in response, Jen quipped, "You'd look great in one!"
It didn't take long for people to speculate that Jen was reminding Leo of his age, while expertly mocking his history of dating women young enough to be his daughters, and the whole thing quickly went viral.You can watch the clip below and read more about it.

Fast forward to Sunday night and Leo was once again publicly mocked, this time with fans believing he was "relieved" that it had nothing to do with his love life.

As I'm sure you know, the Critics' Choice Awards were held last night, and Leo was nominated in the category of Best Actor in a War After Another.Chelsea Handler was this year's host, and she couldn't resist her friendship with Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos - with whom Leo spent New Year's on a $250 million yacht in St. Barts.
Speaking to the crowd, Chelsea joked: "Leo is here thank God. Leo almost didn't make it tonight because he was trapped on a boat in St Barts!"
The camera then panned over to Leo, who seemed to be joking where Chelsea was going when he started laughing.Chelsea continued: "It was like the Titanic, but worse because Jeff Bezos was there!"
At that moment, Leo was laughing out loud and his kind response did not go unnoticed by the people of the house, who reacted to everything on social networks.One of the best responses to the clip on a popular Reddit forum reads: "Leo just posted that dating under 25s was no joke."
"Leo never moves. At least he has the courage to show up and joke," another person commented.
Others questioned whether Chelsea's comments could be described as "roast", with one user pointing out: "It's more of a Jeff Bezos roast than Leo. I don't think it's scary for Leo to feel like he's sitting on a boat in St Barts with his beautiful girlfriend."
Someone else argued: "Tougher steak next time, Chelsea."
Another chimed: "soft fry. Gotta turn it up a notch."
But another use is "this is an awards show, what do you want, a query?"
Liu - who has been in the industry since 1989 - has always shrugged off that scrutiny while in the public eye, telling the Observer in 2024 that he was too grateful for his career to be bothered by the criticism.
"In terms of my personal life, my answer is very simple," Leo explained at the time. "But I tried to be an actor many times and was rejected."
“When I was 12 or 13, one of my agents said, 'Okay, let's give it a try.' From then on I felt like I won the lottery and, to be honest, I'd be happy to work in acting, commercials, TV, whatever,” he continued. “I had one opportunity to do 'This Boy's Life' with Robert De Niro. I watched him work and realized his talent as an actor.And I said to myself'I will not let this opportunity go to waste'”
"Since then, a lot of other things have come together with it," Leo said."A complete loss of privacy. And you know what, a lot of people have to deal with much more difficult things than having their private lives publicly known. It's just one of the byproducts."
"I think I'm too lucky to be doing what I'm doing to sit here and complain. It's just one of those things you have to accept and adapt to," he concluded.
