‘You forgot me’: The house used in the movie can be rented for $25 a night | Travel and Tourism
2 min readMore than 30 years after the release of You Forgot Me (1990), guests can for the first time rent the house that had the showcase used in the movie. Reservations can be made for the site from next Tuesday (7), and the night will cost $25 USD (R$140 at the current rate).
The house located in Winnetka, near Chicago, USA, will be shown in Airbnbwho pointed it out Tourists will be able to stay from December 12. According to the company, the first reservation will have a service that recalls scenes from the franchise that began in 1990.
Visitors will be greeted by actor Devin Rattray, who played Buzz, the star’s older brother, Kevin McAllister, as Macaulay Culkin.
On Airbnb, the house looks as if it was advertised by Buzz himself. The text reads: “Many Christmases before, the Macalister couple went to Paris – well, many of us.” The page states that the two-bedroom house can sleep up to four guests. The place also has a TV, an indoor fireplace and Wi-Fi, as well as bathroom and kitchen utensils.
The reservation will also give tourists the right to spread “traps” around the house – although the famous multiplier of concession villains is not included in the package. Guests will also receive pizza, as Culkin’s character did in one of the movie’s scenes.
The package also includes an offer “You forgot me in Lar Doce Lar”, released in November. The sixth film in the franchise, new comedian star Archie Yates known as “Jojo Rabbit”.
Airbnb said that, as part of the event, it will also donate to La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
