The United States has grounded 44 passenger flights to China operated by Chinese airlines

The United States announced on Friday that it was suspending 44 passenger flights to China in response to Beijing’s restrictions on U.S. airlines promoting its protocol against Cowie-19.

China maintains strict restrictions on crossing its borders, including the reduction of flights and the automatic interruption of highly contagious routes.

As a result of this automatic interruption, Chinese authorities canceled American, Delta and United Airlines flights because passengers who tested negative for Govt disease before departure arrived in China and tested positive after the test.

The U.S. Department of Transportation said Friday that “actions detrimental to the operations of Delta, American and United are in the public interest and guarantee the sector’s proportional corrective action.”

“US airlines that comply with all relevant Chinese regulations relating to free boarding and in-flight protocols should not be fined,” the department commented.

The 44 flights suspended by Washington are operated by Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines, and are scheduled for January 30 to March 29.

The decision comes three weeks before the start of the Winter Olympics in Beijing. The Chinese capital has already suspended thousands of flights and expedited testing last weekend after registering the first social outbreak of the infectious variant Omigran.
