Botafogo: Patrick de Paula is the fourth most expensive club negotiation in Brazil and can ‘stick’ Arrascaeta at the top
1 min readLast Monday (21st), it was Botafogo He agreed to sign the midfielder Patrick de PaulaFrom Palm trees.
With the transfer of value to Real Madrid, Patrick has become the fourth most expensive signing in history in transfers between Brazilian clubs.
See top 5:
1. Arrascaeta (Cruzeiro – Flamengo): 63.7 million Brazilian real
two. Leandro Damiao (International ➡️ Santos): 41.6 million Brazilian riyals
3. Michael (Goiás ➡️ Flamengo): 34 million BRL
4 – Patrick de Paula (Palmeiras – Botafogo): 32.69 million Brazilian riyals
5. Léo Pereira (Atletico- PR ➡️ Flamengo): 27 million Rls
However, it should be noted that now the Botafogo athlete can still climb that list.
That’s because Glorioso will have the option to buy another 20% of the steering wheel, paying €3.5m (19.07m, at current price) to paulistas.
With this, the transfer could amount to 9.5 million euros, which would give 51.67 million Brazilian reais, in current values..
If that happens, Patrick de Paula will move up to second out of the top five, and pass the ill-fated negotiations to Leandro Damiao from Inter to Santos.
With that said, only Arrascaeta will have him on the list of the biggest transfers between teams in Brazilian football.
It is also worth noting that Patrick’s entry into the top five has brought down an athlete who is still active in the relationship.
This is Paulo Henrique Ganso, who finished fifth before Botafogo bought Palmeiras.
Ganso São Paulo cost BRL 23.9 million R$ in 2012, when it was purchased from Santos.
