Knife attacks in a remote area of Canada It left at least ten people dead and 15 injured Sunday morning (4), in Saskatchewan province, international press reported. (see video below).
According to Reuters, the local police announced at a press conference that the number of casualties may be higher, as several people were taken to hospitals in the area. (See map at the end of this report).
The Associated Press reported that the attacks took place in two communities in the northeastern region of Saskatoon and that police forces began searching for two suspects, Damian Sanderson and Miles Sanderson. Initial reports indicated that the victims were subjected to indiscriminate attacks and that the police did not give any motive for the attacks.

“We have located 10 fatalities at 13 locations in the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon communities in Saskatchewan,” Rhonda Blackmore, Assistant Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, told a news conference. A number of other victims were injured and 15 of them were taken to different hospitals.”
The suspects were reportedly initially seen in a black Nissan Rogue. At 8:20 a.m. (local time), police issued an alert across Saskatchewan. Similar warnings were issued in the afternoon in two neighboring provinces, Alberta and Manitoba.

The search for the duo began when fans arrived in Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan, for the annual Labor Day game between two teams of the Canadian Football League, the Saskatchewan Ruggers and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
In a statement, Regina Police said they had begun work on several fronts to locate and arrest the suspects and had “planted additional security resources throughout the city, including the Mosaic Stadium area.” [local da partida]”.
