2 min readSimon Piles Team USA will be battling an uphill battle in Olympic gymnastics this time around.
Piles finished first in her round box and first in the all-round competition, but at the end of the day they were the only favorites to finish first. He was eighth in random bars, third in reserve beams, and second in floor custom.

The 24-year-old top gymnast fell down from the mat following a stumble in his floor workout. He then undertook three main actions.
He will be competing for major events and will help with how the team ends.
The United States finished second behind the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) with a score of 170.562. ROC ended with 171.629.

The ROC seems ready for the challenge posed by the United States.
“We hope we win,” said 21-year-old Angelina Melnikova. “We’re going to fight and fight. We have to do it. That’s what we expect.”
The ROC moved from fifth to second place and flooded the equator, taking fifth and sixth place in the floor routine.
