The Corinthians’ anthem is played at the Allianz Parque, eliciting a note of disapproval from the Palmeiras fans

Corinthians’ anthem was played for a few seconds at a party held at Allianz Parque, Palmeiras Stadium, last Saturday afternoon. The moment was captured on videotape by some of those present and prompted a reaction from Mancha Alvi-Verde fans, agitated by the reality of what happened at the scene.

Meu Timão gains access to the recording which shows DJ Cuiabano Lima encouraging public participation in singing. Many Corinthians fans break free and shout verses at the top of their lungs, especially “You are the pride of Brazilian athletes” (see below).

Due to the proximity between the stadium and the headquarters of the organized parties, the matter quickly spread around Pompeia and the DJ, according to a note from Mancha, was removed from the vans. Incidentally, Cuyabano said he is from Palmer on his social networks.

“At an event this Saturday, an unlucky DJ had the audacity to play the anthem (…) on our sacred land. Upon learning of the truth, the Board of Directors contacted the Palmeiras Council and WTorre to demand measures, which happened very quickly: the organizers of the event were fined (obeying a contractual clause) and the subject was removed from the stage and prevented from continuing his horror show,” the statement said.
