Poland will send 4 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine in the coming days |  world

Poland will send to Ukraine 4 MiG-29 fighters In the coming days, Polish President Andrzej Duda said on Thursday (16), becoming the first Western allies to supply such aircraft.

On Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said the deliveries could take place within four to six weeks.

NATO allies in the former communist east, such as Poland and Slovakia, have been supporting Ukraine since Russia invaded the country on February 24, 2022.

Slovakia is also considering sending MiG-29 aircraft For Ukraine, but has not yet come to a decision.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Thursday that the controversy over sending fighter jets from the country continues. “This is something we are discussing in the group of allied nations. It is Ukraine’s great wish.”She said.

Poland has already sent 14 German-made Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
