2 min readAfter three years without any new releases, PlayStation announced last Monday (22) that “Final Fantasy XVI” will be releasing a public demo before the game’s full release. The release will tell the story of Clive Rosefield’s youth.
PlayStation has stated that any progress the player earns in the demo can be carried over to the full title later. Final Fantasy XVI is set to be released on June 22 and will be a PS5 exclusive for six months.
Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer, explains that the focus on a single platform was to make it easier for developers and programmers to work on improving the game.
In this way, by focusing solely on the PS5, the team can improve game performance, making full use of the console’s resources.
According to the company, there is still no set release date for the demo. But this new information may appear in PlayStation ShowcaIf this were to happen today (24).
Final Fantasy XVI?
The sixteenth game in the “Final Fantasy” franchise produced by Square Enix. In addition, the new game will take place in the dark world of Valisthea.
This marks the story’s return to a primarily medieval theme, as in the first titles. And this decision was not accidental …
At the time they started developing the game, the game’s art director, Hiroshi Minagawa, was inspired by the great HBO series that was on the rise: “Game of Thrones”.
This saved the desire to “return to the origins”, which led to this artistic creation. Minagawa account:
“Early in development, the most important thing was determining the visual direction we were going in, and we decided to have everyone on board.
We needed to figure out what we were going to do, so Yoshi-san [Naoki Yoshida, produtor do jogo] Give us an assignment.
That task was to watch the first four seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’. Bought a Blu-ray box and watched all the developers. “
Now, it’s a matter of waiting to see if the score has a “copy, but not the same” touch, whether players get a nostalgic experience or an entirely new one. let’s wait…
