Petrobras announces the adjustment of gasoline and cooking gas prices | Economie
2 min reada Petrobras Friday (8) announced that it will readjust the price of gasoline and cooking gas (LPG) to its distributors from Saturday (9). The increase will be 7.2% for each product.
According to the company, the average selling price of LPG will increase from R$3.60 to R$3.86 per kilogram, equivalent to R$50.15 per 13kg, reflecting an average adjustment of R$0.26 per kilogram.
For Gasoline A, the average selling price will increase from R$2.78 to R$2.98 per liter, reflecting an average adjustment of R$0.20 per liter.
Given the mandatory mixture of 27% anhydrous ethanol and 73% gasoline to make up the gasoline sold at service stations, the Petrobras share in the price of gasoline at the pump will be R$ 2.18 per liter on average, which corresponds to an increase of R$ 0.15 per liter.
Petrobras explained in its announcement that it applies the adjustment to LPG “after 95 days at stable prices, as the company avoided the immediate conversion of internal prices to external fluctuations caused by cyclical events.” As for Gasoline A, the stability period was 58 days, according to the company.
The company said that the rise reflects the global levels of oil prices, “affected by the limited supply versus the growth of global demand,” and the exchange rate, “given the rise in the dollar globally.”
According to the company, these adjustments are “important to ensure that the market continues to be supplied on an economic basis and without the risk of shortages by the various actors responsible for serving the various Brazilian regions”.
