ANOTHER PROMOTION: Bahia announces the appointment of Ademir | Bahia

a Bahia Another player officially signed. After going through medicals and signing the contract on Friday, Tricolor confirmed Ademir’s arrival. The striker has a bond with Bahia until December 2025.

Ge finds out that Ademir was bought by the Bahia Corporation for about US$2.5 million (13 million Brazilian reals at current prices). Recruitment was handled as a priority by the tricolor board in this final stretch of the transfer window. Before opening talks to the striker, Bahia was frustrated in his negotiations with Marinho.

Bahia’s director of football, Carlos Santoro, said the appointment of Ademir was one of Bahia’s goals in this transfer window.

– Ademir is the profile of a player we’ve been looking for since the beginning of the transfer window. A player who can play open and a little inside, left-handed, with great speed, a characteristic we knew we needed in putting together this team. A player who, in the recent past, was a staple of the América-MG squad in Série A, being one of the tournament’s top scorers and also one of the main names of that edition.”

Ademir was the understudy to Eduardo Coudet at Atlético-MG and played six games this season, two of them as a starter. Nicknamed ‘Fumacinha’, the striker arrived at the club in early 2022 after impressing at America-MG. In all, he played 67 games for Gallo, with eight goals and an assist.

The 28-year-old lived his best moment at América-MG. He was the highlight of the team in 2021, contributing to the historic stay in the elite in Brazil and the vacancy in 2022 by the Libertadores. In 44 matches with Coelho in 2021, 15 goals were scored and five assists were recorded.
