MANAUS/AM – Two years after it closed for visitation, Bosque das Ciências reopened the venue, on Friday (20), and the return was marked by a visit by students from the Adalberto Valle State School. The event is part of the Science at School project, from the National Research Institute of the Amazon (Inpa).
The school’s students are the first to visit Bosque, for the first time on Tuesday (17/05) and the second time on Friday, with 80 students from grades six through nine from elementary school able to take part in the class. Students take a guided tour, focusing on the lesson plan submitted to the “First Lesson Plan Competition” at Bosque da Ciência.
With the aim of improving science teaching in Amazonas, and focusing on public school students in Manaus, students learn about nature, history, and animals at INPA, as well as focus on school lesson plans, such as bees and the importance of the ecosystem.
