In the past 24 hours, Brazil recorded 219 deaths caused by COVID-19, according to data collected by the Federation of Press Vehicles, which includes condition. In the country, the total number of victims of the novel coronavirus reached 601,266 on Monday. The weekly moving average, which removes distortions between weekdays and weekends, continues to fall at 440. The states of Roraima, Rio Grande do Norte and Amapa have not reported any deaths.

According to the balance issued at 20 daily, the number of notifications of new cases of the disease within 24 hours reached 7,211, which made the country reach the mark of 21,581,094 cases of the disease, taking into account the beginning of the epidemic. Acre state did not record deaths and new cases. The data is collected by the Federation of Press Vehicles, which was formed by condition, G1, Oh Globo, Extra, Fulha and UOL, in partnership with 27 state health departments.

Data from the Ministry of Health’s coronavirus panel shows 6,918 new cases of infection, which equates to a total of 21,582,738 accumulated cases. The number of deaths reached 202 in the past 24 hours, with a total of 601,213 victims of the Corona virus in the country.

This balance in deaths and cases is the result of an unprecedented partnership between the six media outlets that, since June 8 of last year, have been working in a collaborative manner to gather needed information in 26 states and the Federal District. It is a response to the Bolsonaro government’s decision at the time to restrict access to data on the pandemic, but it was kept after government records continued to be released.
