Also on Saturday, the head of the Hospital Services Department of Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health, Julio Guerra, said 80 people were injured in the blast.
According to the source, 46 people were taken to the hospital, including 31 adults and 15 minors. Among them is a Spanish tourist. Guerra told Cuban state television that seven of the patients were in critical condition and three were in serious condition.
The source said that among the dead were four minors, a pregnant woman and a Spanish tourist. Rescue work continues near the Saratoga Hotel, which is located in the center of Old Havana.
