The lawsuit, which was originally filed in September 2022, caught the attention of hot sauce enthusiasts across the country.
The plaintiff, Phillip White from California, alleged that he was misled by Texas Pete’s labeling, leading him to believe that the hot sauce was made in Texas when it was actually manufactured in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
