Fighting in the Eduardo Costa family turns into an accusation of embezzlement

A large-scale battle in the family of Eduardo Costa was behind the process in which the country singer will soon respond to justice. The artist was denounced for embezzlement by the Public Prosecution Office of Minas Gerais. In addition, Gustavo Caetano da Silva’s son-in-law, who is married to his sister Sarah Costa and partner in EC13 Produções LTDA, is also mentioned.

Another piece of information obtained from the column is that the singer broke off relations with his sister Sarah and her husband. Despite not speaking to close friends, Eduardo Costa said his door to his house would always be open for his nephews, but not for his partner. On the other hand, Sarah prefers not to get involved in the fight and refuses to access all information regarding the two.

For a few months, the column has been trying to contact the citizen and Gustavo for a statement on the case. Both deny only that there were fights between them.

Eduardo Costa signed a purchase and sale agreement in 2015, to acquire a property worth R$9 million, in the Bandeirantes neighborhood, in Belo Horizonte (MG). As part of the payment (R$5.6 million), he and his partner offered another property, located in Biomohi, in the same state.

In the negotiations, they would have overlooked that the property had been subject to a repossession proceeding since 2012, and had also been the target of another public proceeding since 2013.

According to the prosecution, it was deleted “intentionally as a controversial asset, and an unlawful advantage, to the detriment of the victims.” Gustavo signed the contract as a witness, participated in the negotiations, and, according to people close to the artist, it was he who brokered the sale and Eduardo Costa signed all the documents.

Finally, the Public Prosecution Office of the State of Minas Gerais has requested the conviction of the singer and partner and wants to summon them to pursue due process.
