Fluminense tied 1-1 with Barcelona de Guayaquil, and was knocked out by Libertadores, Thursday (19), in Ecuador. Fred, the equalizer, already in injury time, from the penalty spot, regretted the elimination. For the three-color striker, the team had a greater volume, especially in the first half, but it was not effective, and in the second stage they suffered from the pressure of the opponents when the ball went out.

– They excelled even more in the Maracana match, they scored two goals for us, and that makes a big difference in this competition. Now it’s about enjoying this mourning, we dreamed a lot about this vacancy, but it’s about congratulating Barcelona and continuing in the competitions we have left.

He stated that the size of the team was greater and could have been ahead of the scoreboard in the first half.

– We tried anyway, the first half had a lot of game volume. The second time, they put more pressure on us off the ball, and we didn’t have a lot of chances. We could have finished the first half up front, but unfortunately we couldn’t.

The Ecuadoreans’ goal was scored by striker Mestriani, who touched the departure of Marcos Felipe after a beautiful pass from Hoyos and was included in the classification for Barcelona. Fred scored the tricolor goal from a penalty kick. In the Libertadores, the away goal is to break the tie, as the first match was 2-2, Barcelona maintained the classification.
