3 min readOn Friday afternoon, Corinthians’ biggest organizing supporter, Gaviões da Fiel, posted an official note on his social networks assessing the 2022 season and asking for planning for next year. In the post, the club’s football department was criticized and requests for improvement were made.
🇧🇷Looking back on this season for Corinthians, it wasn’t a bad year. Although we did not win trophies, we beat the financial targets set by our football board of directors. Our team, which was not able to compete recently, has resumed the spotlight in some competitions. We’ve agreed some specific signings, cut squads, negotiated with players who aren’t at the level of playing at a club of our size,” fans assess at the start of the note. – See the full text below.
After giving his opinion about the season at the Parque São Jorge club, Gaviões harshly criticized Timão’s football department. Throughout the text, the sector led by Roberto de Andrade was classified as “amateur”.
🇧🇷We understand that if we had a management professional in football management, we would go further🇧🇷 If we didn’t insist on projects that weren’t working at the beginning of the year because of sheer stubbornness, if we did decent planning, taking advantage of the pre-season to think about a new coach, signings, to pick up pace in the game, history could be different. Not to mention the amount of injuries we’ve had, which makes us question the players’ physical readiness. All this is a reflection of an amateur football section.said the crowd.
Finally, the biggest organized crowd requires good planning for the upcoming season. Some of the requests made were the tenure of important players, such as Juri Alberto and Fausto, one-off signings and a coach with a long-term project.

Looking back on this season for Corinthians, it wasn’t a bad year. Although we did not win trophies, we beat the financial targets set by our football board of directors. Our team, which was not able to compete recently, has resumed the spotlight in some competitions. We’ve agreed some specific signings, cut squads, negotiated players who aren’t up to par at a club of our size.
But we are not planners.
We understand that if we had a management professional in football management, we would go further. If we didn’t insist on projects that weren’t working at the beginning of the year because of sheer stubbornness, if we did decent planning, and took advantage of the pre-season to think about a new coach, signings, to pick up pace in the game, history could have been different. Not to mention the amount of injuries we’ve had, which makes us question the players’ physical readiness. All this is a reflection of the amateur football section.
He asked us to be patient and be patient.
But for 2023 we want consistent planning, we want to professionalize our football department. We demand that this team not be dismantled, and that we resist the harassment of players such as Fausto Vera and Yuri Alberto, pleasant surprises that have shown us that it is possible to rejuvenate the team with high quality without the need for a very large investment.
We want to recruit the missing players in the squad, three to five athletes to make up our starting line-up and also to serve as our bench so we can go into the game at full strength and not get stuck if we need to be substituted.
We want a coach who understands what Corinthians are, the size of our team and the importance of the classics to our people. A technician is not a firefighter who puts out occasional fires, but has a long-term project, with the weight of seasons, for this season and others.
In 2023, we will continue with our flags to take back our party in the stands that was taken from us, and fight for our right to support. Support Corinthians at all times. Without silencing our voice and our power, we always think and act for the best for our greatest love.
