Narrator Galvão Bueno revealed the details of Globo’s reaction after it was announced that his YouTube channel, Canal GB, would be broadcasting the Brazil national team’s friendly match. Brazil will face Morocco on Saturday (3/25) at 7:00 pm at Ibn Battuta Stadium in Tangier, Morocco.

In a happy tone, Galvao Bueno celebrated his return to the broadcast, stressing that it was a match between the national team and revealing Globo’s reaction: “Back with the match of the Brazilian national team … Globo did not like it very much, but what can I do?”

The narrator detailed this situation in an interview Thursday (3/23) with Flow Sport Club, a podcast available on YouTube. Galvão also told Bueno how he left Globo and the suggestions that followed.

“You made it very clear [ao sair da Globo] I haven’t closed a book. I was turning the page. I made it all very clear but I didn’t imagine that the channel’s debut would be a match for the national team,” said Galvao, who followed.

“I had proposals to do the Campeonato Paulista and Libertadores and even an invitation to participate in the Club World Cup with Cazé. But I thought it wasn’t the right time because they were products that Globo was making and I would have competed directly with ‘them’,” the narrator concluded.

Galvão Bueno quit the station’s stable staff in order to devote himself to projects in digital media, such as the creation of Canal GB. However, the caller has renewed his contract with Globo until November 2024 and will be involved in special projects related or not to the sport.
