Hurricane Nora hit land Saturday (28) in the Mexican state of Jalisco and is still close to the Mexican Pacific coast, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in United State.

NHC said Nora was affected “near Vicente Guerrero (Jalisco) and has continued to move near the coast ever since.”

At 9 pm from Brasilia, the hurricane was located 50 km south-southwest of Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco) and 555 km from Cabo San Lucas (Lower California), traveling at 22 km / h towards the north with sustained winds of 130 km/h, the NHC reported.

The eye of the hurricane “will continue to move off the coast of Mexico for the next few hours.” Then to the Gulf of Mexico “moving parallel to the coast of Mexico”.

The NHC does not rule out that it could turn into Earth and dissipate.

Mexican authorities cleared 15 shelters in Jalisco and sent first responders to the area of ​​impact.

Last weekend, another hurricane, Grace, hit Veracruz (east) as a Category 3 on the Saffir-Simpson scale and killed at least 11 people in the state and its neighbor, Puebla (center).
