Samsung has recently announced that it will be introducing select Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones and tablets with the upcoming One UI 6.1 update. The decision was confirmed by a Samsung representative in Korea on the company’s community forum.

The updated features will be a slightly trimmed-down version of Galaxy AI, with the exclusion of Instant Slow-Mo. This update is set to be available for devices from 2022, including the S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Tab S8, and Tab S8 Ultra. These devices will receive the same version of Galaxy AI as the lower-priced Galaxy S23 FE.

Unfortunately, Instant Slow-Mo, a feature introduced with the S24 line, will not be included in the update for older devices. However, it will remain available in S23 models.

This move by Samsung shows their commitment to providing continued support and updates for their older flagship devices, ensuring that users can still enjoy some of the latest AI features. It also aligns with the company’s efforts to streamline their software experience across their device lineup.

Users of older flagship devices can look forward to the One UI 6.1 update next month, which will bring select Galaxy AI features to their devices. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development from Samsung.
