Nintendo reveals subscription prices for New Switch Online
2 min readNintendo announced on Friday (15) the subscription prices for the Switch Online expansion, which will include Nintendo 64 games and Mega Drive, and will launch on October 25. There are two annual options:
- An individual: R$262.99 ($49.99)
- family: R$421.99 | Up to 8 accounts ($79.99)
Currently, Nintendo Switch Online’s annual subscription plans are $19.99 and $34.99. In Brazil, 100 BRL and 175 BRL.
The so-called “extra pack” will unlock access to many Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ecco the Dolphin, and Streets of Wrath II.
In addition, subscribers will also receive Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Happy Home Paradise, the game’s latest expansion, which can be played while the subscription is active. The consumer must have the basic game purchased to enjoy.
New wireless versions of the Nintendo 64 controllers and MegaDrive will also be released for the Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below:
The news was revealed during the Animal Crossing event on Friday (15). In it, Nintendo provided details of the game’s latest free update, which will bring a new cafĂ©, the return of gyros, the ability to cook food dishes and much more. In Happy Home Paradise, the first paid add-on, players will be able to hone their design skills in the holiday archipelago, building homes, schools, hospitals and other resort environments. Both arrive on the 5th of November.
For those who don’t want to purchase the paid expansion with a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription + Extra Bundle, it will cost R$137.99.
