Celebrate, Atlético-MG supporter! Once again, in less than a week, black and white have taken over the streets of Belo Horizonte. After the big celebration on Thursday, in Praça Sete, this Sunday, rooster lovers also took to the streets. Once the match ended in Mineirao, hundreds of villagers took over Praça Sete, this time without the club’s official schedule.
Last Thursday’s big celebration venue, Praça Sete, downtown Belo Horizonte, welcomed hundreds of athletes at the end of Sunday’s game. There were no official performances or schedule for the club this Sunday outside of Mineirao. The main party took place on Thursday when players were in electric trios with Bill Marquez’s concert and a crowd followed until dawn.

Fans at Praça Sete have closed traffic at the intersections of Avenida Amazonas and Avenida Afonso Pena. But the military police tried to make way for cars to pass. (See the video below) Traffic in the central area of the capital was very complicated with closed roads.

Despite getting a ticket, fans insisted that the intersection be closed to vehicular traffic. Then the prime minister tried to disperse the masses who fled.

Other parts of the city, where there are traditional bars that gather Galo lovers, were also full. This was the case of the Arena do Espito, in the district of Horto, east of the capital, and the Salomao pub, in Serra, in the district of Central and South. Throughout the city as well as in the metropolitan area, the sounds of fireworks, trumpets, and the club anthem echoed.

A party was being arranged by businessmen of the Savassi district. However, after not obtaining permission from the municipality of Belo Horizonte, the event was canceled. Despite this, there was also a celebration for the Atléticans who gathered at the bars of the closed Savassi block to watch the match.

On the field, in Mineirao, another shift. Gallo came out ahead of Bragantino and took the role, but sought the result after changes from coach Coca. With a positive result, Gallo won again at the Brasileirao stadium, reaching 84 points.
This Sunday, players will throw a special party to celebrate the duo tournament. The event will take place in a concert hall in the district of Nova Lima, in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte. On Monday, the athletes are off work and back on Tuesday to start preparing for Thursday’s game, against Grêmio, in the final round of Brazil.
