Realme 9: When performance, battery and camera matter more than 5G | Analysis / review
2 min reada really 9 It recently arrived in the national market to offer a good medium with a high quality camera without paying a high price for it. Of course, the Brazil price is a little complicated and paying R$3,000 for a cell phone with Snapdragon 680 might actually seem salty. But is the camera worth it? Let’s check.
The design of realme 9 is very similar to that of its brother Pro Plus And we can even say that the manufacturer made use of the same housing in both, with the difference that this product is a little lighter. Finishing is made of high quality plastic and is available in white or black. There is a 5G version that has different specifications, but here we will focus on the 4G model.
The multimedia part is due to the 6.4 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The certified panel achieves a good level of brightness and displays highly saturated colors by default, which makes it possible to perform better calibration. There is no HDR support to get the most out of movies and series on streaming services and the audio portion is limited to mono audio that lacks audio balance.
The Snapdragon 680 does the trick even more when combined with 8GB of RAM which can be extended up to 13GB in total using a portion of the storage. The realme software is well optimized and we even managed to beat the Realme 9 Pro Plus in the speed test that focuses on multitasking. However, in games, don’t expect everything to run at maximum graphics quality.
The 5000mAh battery is long lasting, lasting 30 hours of moderate use and is among the best we’ve tested. The realme 9 comes with a 33W charger that takes 1 hour 20 minutes to fully charge the battery and with a 15 minute charge, you will have 10 hours of quiet use.
Finally, we have the realme 9’s most attractive point: the 108MP camera. It is not the first medium to offer such a resolution, but it comes with the current Samsung sensor which is combined with good software capable of recording great photos, and stands above the competition. The wide range also provides good images, while it is the macro that misses the group. The camcorder only records in Full HD, has good stabilization, a thin focus and captures sound without much noise.
The realme 9 is a beautiful phone that is worth it at the right price. Paying 3000 BRL for it is a bit complicated, so we recommend keeping an eye on the offers. Below you will find the full review with all the details:
