Seahawks Announce Three New Additions to Practice Squad

Seattle Seahawks Bring Back Linebacker Jon Rhattigan to Practice Squad

In an exciting move for the team, the Seattle Seahawks have announced the re-signing of linebacker Jon Rhattigan to their practice squad, just a day after waiving him. Rhattigan, a third-year linebacker, had initially joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and was an impressive special teams player in his rookie season.

Despite facing a setback with an ACL tear last season, Rhattigan managed to make a significant impact on special teams, recording 10 tackles in just five games. His determination and skill on the field have earned him a place back on the practice squad, where he will have the chance to continue developing his talents and contribute to the team’s success.

In addition to Rhattigan, the Seahawks have made two other signings to the practice squad. Guard Ben Brown and cornerback Robert Rochell have joined the team, adding depth to these positions. Brown, who went undrafted out of Mississippi in 2022, spent his rookie year on injured reserve with the Cincinnati Bengals before being waived as part of their roster cuts.

To accommodate these new additions, quarterback Holton Ahlers and guard Greg Eiland have been released from the practice squad. While it may be disappointing for Ahlers and Eiland, these roster changes demonstrate the Seahawks’ commitment to building a strong and well-rounded team that can compete at the highest level.

The re-signing of Jon Rhattigan, along with the additions of Ben Brown and Robert Rochell, highlights the ongoing efforts of the Seattle Seahawks to strengthen their roster and create a competitive squad. With these talented players now part of the practice squad, the team is poised for success this season. Fans can eagerly anticipate the impact that Rhattigan, Brown, and Rochell will make as they continue their development and strive to contribute to the Seahawks’ quest for victory.
