Corinthians is an unprecedented representative in the selection of the Silver Ball award in the 37th round of Brazil. It’s about the midfielder Willian, which was in the top 11 for the first time.
Timão No. 10 shirt, Willian was sidelined with a thigh injury. The recently recovered midfielder started against Grêmio and made the difference for Corinthians. Willian created good chances and was responsible for the pass that ended with a goal by Renato Augusto and confirmed the equalizer in Itakera.
Willian is currently the only representative of Timon in the award selection, which can change each round. With the No. 10 jersey, 11 were selected: Joao Paulo (Santos), Arnaldo (Atletico-Go), Miranda (São Paulo), Conte (Bahia) and Luciano Juba (Sport); Baralhas (Atlético-GO), Patrick de Luca (Bahia), William (Corinthians) Warsaw (Atletico MG); Luciano (São Paulo) and Kino (Atletico MG). The coach is Gotto Ferreira (Bahia).
The tournament has only one round. Already guaranteed with a live place in the 2022 Libertadores, Corinthians will visit Juventud at 9:30pm on Thursday in a bid to confirm fourth place in the championship.
