Atlético-MG does not intend to spare efforts in the 2023 tournaments. One of Gallo’s plans is to continue relying on 24-year-old striker Pedrino, who is on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk (UCR) until June 2023. According to the club’s CEO, Rodrigo Caetano, the team will spare no effort to spend. At first, Atlético-MG is working behind the scenes to extend the loan period until December 2023, and sees the negotiations positively, given the desire of the player, who is linked to the Ukrainians until 2025, to stay at the club.

However, the possibility of hiring Pedrinho is not so simple. Although the player’s agents are already mediating the extension of the loan, it is in Shakhtar Donetsk’s interest to sell the striker, and they demand 20 million euros for the pass, which is equivalent to R$110.5 million. Gallo still has Palmeiras in dispute who is considering buying the player.

However, once again, Pedrino will work for Atlético. Created from the base of Corinthians, the striker has no interest in defending rivals from the Sao Paulo team. “It will be difficult to play not only for Palmeiras but for any other club in Sao Paulo due to his identification with Corinthians. The only thing I can say is that Atlético-MG will have priority, even because we have already started renewal negotiationsPedrinho’s representative said.
