The side exposed by Corinthians is close to closing with Cruzeiro

Full-back Igor Formiga, who played for Corinthians’ under-20 and under-23 teams, is about to be announced by a new club. This Tuesday, Ponte Preta, the club where the athlete played in 2022, informed of the departure of the player and predicted that the destination would be Cruzeiro.

Formiga reached the Corinthians as a result of the work of capturing the basic classes. For the Under-20s, there were 67 appearances and he scored five goals. As for the Aspirantes team, where he played his last match for Timão, he played 12 times, without scoring any goals.

The defender started 2022 as a Corinthians player, with whom he would have had a contract until October of the same year, and was loaned to Ponte Preta for the Paulista Championship. In April, Timão agreed to an early termination of the player, who remained with the Campinas side until the end of this season’s Série B.

In Cruzeiro, Igor could find a number of former Corinthians players. After all, the Minas Gerais club is close to completing the signing of Matheus Vital, Matheus Dafoe and Raul Gustavo.
