1 min readOne of the youngsters who has gained space since Lesca’s arrival, defender Miranda will complete 50 official matches as a professional in Vasco on Sunday, against Ponte Preta, at 4pm, in São Januaro.
The owner of the team’s last six matches, the 21-year-old defender arrived in São Janorio in 2006 to join the Vasco football team. He has stood out at the base for his technical quality, especially when passing the ball and as a captain of the modern generation of the 2000s, who is the main foundations striker Paulinho, of Bayer Leverkusen and Olympic champion of the national team.

After Miranda’s first match under Lesca, in the 2-1 loss to Sao Paulo, in the Copa del Rey, the coach paid tribute to the defender.
– I loved Miranda. Miranda is young, but experienced, has been with the national team. He is a very mature and decisive player. Vasco is very much appreciated. So he may be younger, but that doesn’t mean he’s not mature.
Miranda made his professional debut at the age of 18, in a 3-1 loss to Internacional, on June 13, 2018. The 2020 season was his most active, reaching 27 games. In the current game, you add up to 20 games.
