11:10 a.m.: Early Sunday morning brought a disturbing report from Midtown New York regarding the life and safety of Jets quarterback Chris Boyd, who is reportedly in critical condition and "holding on to life" after the shooting, according to Joe Marino, Jorge Fitz-Gibbon and Kirsten Fleming of the New York Post.
The shooting reportedly took place around 2:00 a.m. today on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue.Police have not identified the shooting victim as Boyd to reporters, but the New York Post cited other sources to confirm the identity.No arrests have been made at this time and the incident is under investigation.NFL's Jonathan Jones on CBS relayed the following message from a Jets spokesman:
We are aware of the situation regarding Chris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time.
It was reported that two luxury vehicles, a BMW X6 SUV and a Mercedes-Benz Maybach, fled the scene.According to Post sources, it is alleged that the BMW carried the shooter, although witnesses to the incident did not cooperate.It is unclear if Boyd was the target.

I don't know where you live, but I live in Manhattan and pass through that area a lot, and so do many people I know.You are creating danger.It is a crowded area filled with tourists, commuters, and regular people going about their business.It is not a dangerous area, high.
