In short, the prices of the Pró-Cotista line, aimed at those without access to the Casa Verde e Amarela programme, have been reduced until December 31. Therefore, interest rates have been reduced by 1 percentage point for properties with a value of up to 350 thousand Brazilian reals. The minimum rates have been changed from the reference rate (TR) plus 8.66% per annum to TR plus 7.66% per annum.
Moreover, for properties between R$350,000 and R$1.5 million – the housing financial system ceiling – the rate changed from TR plus 8.66% per annum to TR plus 8.16% per annum. Caixa has also increased financing of the Pró-Cotista line to 80% of the appraised value of the property.
