But all eyes are on two new TV series: Amazon Prime’s ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ and HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon’.

‘The Rings of Power’ is Amazon’s ambitious story, set in JRR Tolkien’s book universe long before the events depicted in director Peter Jackson’s Oscar-winning trilogy.

The series, which has crossed the $1 billion mark, will run for five seasons starting September 2nd.

HBO has revealed details of its first ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off series ‘House of the Dragon’, based on the fictional world of Westeros created by George RR Martin.

The author avoided talking about the rivalry between the owners. ‘I want both the series to appreciate themselves and reach an audience that is quality television. A great imagination,’ said Martin.

‘The more success we have in the fantasy genre, the more fantasy we have in the future,’ he wrote in a blog post.

HBO is hoping to build on the enormous popularity of the original ‘House of the Dragon’ series, which became a pop culture icon for eight seasons, spawned countless spoofs and won 59 Emmy Awards, a record for a television drama.

Starring Matt Smith, Rhys Ifans and Emma D’Arcy, ‘House of the Dragon’ tells the story of the Targaryen family, merciless dragon guardians, some 300 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’.

Another ratings hit at the comic, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stopped by to promote his upcoming superhero movie ‘Black Adam’. The film’s protagonist is Shazam’s main antagonist, and has also faced off against Wonder Woman and Superman. The story begins in Egypt, where the character was born, and tells his entire path. And the struggle to free himself from the spell that cursed him.

It will premiere in 2024. ‘I Am Groot’ follows the adventures of the much-loved Guardians of the Galaxy character in five short films.
