The new Range Rover arrives in Brazil at a millionaire price
2 min readLand Rover launched the new Range Rover in Brazil this week. Completely revamped in 2021, the fifth-generation luxury SUV model is coming to the Brazilian market with four versions and two engine options. In 2023, a plug-in hybrid model should arrive and in 2024 it will be an all-electric version.
Visually, this generation of the Range Rover was much cleaner, without a lot of wrinkles, and had an intriguing backlight. That’s because the pieces integrate with the stripe bearing the model’s name and form a different set. At the front, the SUV has preserved the “face” of the Range Rover, as it is easily recognizable.
As it occupies the highest level of the Land Rover line, the model has an interior design befitting a first-class Arab airline. There is ample use of leather, the rear seat reclines and all passengers travel in comfort and an abundance of sophistication throughout. There are 11-inch screens to keep travelers entertained in the back, and a massive 13.7-inch hub in the front.
Range Rover engines
Under the hood, the new Range Rover can be equipped with a D350 MHEV Ingenium six-cylinder diesel engine or a P530 V8 petrol engine. The first engine generates 350 hp and 71.4 kg-m torque, while the second engine generates 530 hp and 76.5 kg-m torque.
Regardless of the engine, the transmission is always an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. With a diesel engine, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds, and a top speed of 234 km / h. When equipped with a petrol engine, the model reaches 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
equipment
As mentioned above, the model does not lack luxury. All versions have four-zone air conditioning, leather seats with more than 20 electrical adjustments, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof and a center console with a cooler compartment.
In terms of safety features, there’s a traffic and rear monitor, trailer stability assist, lane-keep assist, traction and stability controls, and rear axle steering. Only the SE version has traditional LED headlights, while the more expensive versions have Digital LED, which is a more advanced technology.
