According to the survey, the average increase in fuel prices was 2.04% in November.
Gasoline, which in October recorded a decline of 5.92%, is now up 1.67%, which represents the single largest impact on the general index for the month (0.08 percentage points).
Meanwhile, ethanol rose 6.16% in November and diesel rose 0.12%, according to IBGE. The only fuel that showed a decrease among those surveyed was vehicle gas at -0.98%.
Despite the hike, fuel prices are still accumulating a decline of 22.49% in 12 months. In this period, for example, gasoline experienced a decline of more than 24%.
Increase fuel at stations
A survey conducted this week by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels showed that gasoline prices rose in Filling stations Last week again after five consecutive weekly increases.
This happened despite Petrobras not raising fuel prices for distributors for more than 80 days. There is an explanation: the recent increases are mainly due to the increase in the cost of anhydrous ethanol, which makes up 27% of the gasoline mixture sold at service stations.
How is the IPCA-15 calculated?
IPCA-15 It is an index that takes into account 465 sub-items of products and services. For this, the calculation takes into account the inflation of households with incomes ranging from 1 to 40 minimum wages and covers urban areas in: Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, Recife, São Paulo, Belém, Fortaleza, Salvador, Curitiba, Brasilia and Goiânia.
The methodology is the same as that of the IPCA, but with a difference in the period and scope of price collection.
