A woman finds a nest with nearly 100 snakes under the house
1 min readA North American woman had an unpleasant surprise when she discovered a nest cobra They live under their own house in the city of Santa Rosa, California (USA). At least 92 boa shared the property with her.

The case broke news in the San Francisco Chronicle after the woman sought help from a nonprofit organization that specializes in animal rescue. The director of the NGO, The Wolf, reported that in the first inspection of the dwelling, 59 cubs and 22 adult pythons were found.
On two other site visits, another 11 reptiles were removed. This brings the number of animals that lived in the place to 92.

Snakes are of the Pacific rattlesnake species, and are the only venomous native to California. They are not usually aggressive unless they feel threatened.
According to the specialist, calls such as those sent by a resident of Santa Rosa are common. However, the number of snakes that are found is usually limited to four or five.

All rescued snakes have been released into the wild. Wolf says he plans to make new maintenance visits to the house in the coming months due to its spread.
