Blumenau AGFs and ESFs are suspending elective consultations from Monday

From Monday (16) the municipality of Blumenau will temporarily suspend elective consultations in the Family Health Strategy (ESF) and the General Ambulance Family (AGF) units. The decision was made due to the daily increase in dengue and Covid-19 cases in the city. Maintain childcare and prenatal care.

The services of the ESF and AGF units, until otherwise specified, are primarily intended for the care of overlapping cases and cases of patients with suspected or confirmed cases of dengue and Covid-19. Dental appointments continue as normal in the ESF and AGF health units. In addition to consultations, examinations and procedures performed at the Lindolf Bell Clinic, in the Rosânia Machado Pereira Health Center, which will not be affected.

Dengue fever epidemic and increased cases of Covid-19
In recent weeks, Blumenau has recorded a significant increase in dengue and Covid-19 cases in the municipality. According to the dengue bulletin issued last Tuesday, the 10th, the city records 1,450 confirmed cases of dengue fever. The Covid-19 bulletin issued last Friday, the 13th, confirmed that 911 people are being treated for the disease.

Despite the increase in numbers, the occupation of intensive care beds and dispensaries remains stable in the municipality. There are 8 patients with Covid-19 and 27 patients with dengue – according to relevant bulletins released during the week.

General Invitation to Recruit General Practitioners
Next Thursday, the 19th, Blumenau City Hall opened a public call for the recruitment of General Practitioners for the Municipal Health Network. Interested parties are to be present from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, in the public selection sector, on the second floor of the City Hall Building, Room 25, for the delivery of documents.

There are 21 vacancies available for employment in General Family (AGF) outpatient clinics. The goal of the Department of Health Promotion (Semus) is for newly hired professionals to enhance care in the afternoon and night. The vacancies have a workload of 20 and 40 hours per week.
