Defender Nino was left out of the friendlies in Brazil’s selection against Guinea and Senegal. The Fluminense player suffered an adductor muscle injury in his right thigh last Sunday, in a 2-2 draw with Goias. Examinations in Rio de Janeiro on Monday morning confirmed the problem.

The CBF announced the cut Monday afternoon, but has not yet announced who will replace Nino.

In FIFA history in March, Ramon Menezes Marquinhos lost to injury and invited Bremer, from Juventus, to replace him. However, the European players have already been on vacation for a week or so.

Nino was substituted in the 21st minute of the second half, and left the field in tears. This will be the 26-year-old defender’s first chance in the main squad.
