Fabio Santos returns to being one of the pillars of the Corinthians in the Libertadores | Corinthians

Fabio Santos was instrumental in winning the Libertadores title Corinthians 2012. Ten years later, today, as the most senior player in Alfinegro’s squad, the left-back has managed to maintain a very high level of performance in the same tournament.

In all, Fabio participated in 11 of 26 matches Corinthians in the year. In the Libertadores, he played the role of the five groups, and was the first in all of them.
Even the penalty missed in the goalless draw against Deportivo Cali on May 4th did not waste his concentration or dampen morale within the team and with the committee. The crowd didn’t seem to be left with the choke ring either. The player came off several consecutive hits in counts.

To keep up with the pace, Fabio played less in 2022. In the club’s last seven matches, he’s used match after match: he faced Boca, rested against Fortaleza, played against Cali, stayed against Bragantino, and started against Portugal. He did not join Inter and played on Tuesday with the Bombonera.
The trend, therefore, is that he will not play for one minute on Sunday, against São Paulo, at 4 pm (GMT), in Itaqueira, for the Brazil national team.
